Darlin Munoz from Honduras
Darlin lives in La Entrada, Honduras which has a population of 35,000. She lives in a hut with a dirt floor and adobe walls. The typical diet is corn, beans, chicken, bananas and rice. Her father is a day laborer and her mother is a street vendor. The average wage is $52 per month. She learns about Jesus at a church called "Mas que Vencedores" (which means More Than Conquerors). There she not only receives Bible study but health checks and academic support. More than half of the people in Darlin's country live in poverty. Remember Darlin in your prayers. Her birthday is August 29, 1995 and Darlin is 11 years old.
Ndyalukaki Savious from Uganda
"Luke" is 12 and his birthday is November 25, 1994. He lives in Kabale, Uganda which has a population of 31,900. Both of his parents are farmers and their typical diet is corn, beans, grain and potatoes. They earn about $5 per month. Malaria and AIDS are common in his country. People generally live to be 40 or 50 years old. Luke goes to Kabale Child Development Center where he receives Bible education and health support. His chores include gathering firewood and carrying water.
Edwin Asmat from Paraguay
Edwin is 12 years old and lives in Chembote, Peru a population of 5,200. His parents have occassional work. He lives in a house with dirt floors and mud walls. His diet is beans, rice and potatoes. Parasites, diarrhea and skin diseases are common in his community. He goes to Estrella del Oriente (Star of the East) Student Center where he gets Bible education and health checks. Please pray for Edwin. His birthday is March 22, 1994.
